What matters
Modern software. Business continuity. Both can be part of the plan.
Modernisation is not about replacing technology for its own sake. It is about helping people work better.
-
01 / Maintainability
Change your system again
Supported technology, clearer architecture and documentation your teams can use.
-
02 / Data confidence
Know what was moved
Migration rehearsals, record counts, balance checks and traceable exceptions.
-
03 / Controlled change
Move at a safer pace
Stage-by-stage release plans, agreed testing, cutover criteria and fallback procedures.
Our approach
Not a big-bang replacement.
We evaluate what you have, determine what should change, and move each piece when it is ready. Explore how the engagement works.
01.
See the whole picture.
We review the code, infrastructure, data and day-to-day operations before recommending what to keep, upgrade or replace.
What this stage produces
- System and dependency inventory
- Risks, constraints and priorities
- A practical modernisation roadmap
02.
Create room for change.
We introduce safe interfaces and boundaries so modern components can work alongside existing systems while operations continue.
What this stage produces
- Integration and architecture design
- Controlled development environments
- Test coverage for critical flows
03.
Move data with evidence.
We practise migration, record what changed, reconcile what matters and resolve exceptions before production cutover.
What this stage produces
- Migration mapping and rehearsals
- Record counts and balance checks
- Business acceptance sign-off
04.
Move when you are ready.
We rehearse the switchover, agree support coverage and rollback options, and guide users through the transition.
What this stage produces
- Approved cutover and fallback plan
- Handover, documentation and training
- Post-launch monitoring and support
What we do
The right change, not just a new stack.
We combine engineering, data work and rollout planning to modernise what is holding you back, without discarding what still works.
Discuss your requirements01 Technical assessment & roadmap
Review the codebase, databases, infrastructure, integrations and workflows. Identify operational risk, prioritise improvements, and compare upgrade versus rebuild options with clear trade-offs.
02 Progressive application replacement
Introduce modern modules alongside your existing system. Move functions incrementally, test them with users, and retire legacy components when the new capabilities are proven.
03 Data migration & reconciliation
Profile existing records, transform and clean data, migrate history where required, and validate record counts, key balances and exceptions through rehearsal runs before the production transition.
04 APIs & system integration
Give existing systems secure, documented REST or event interfaces. Integrate portals, mobile apps, payment providers and ERP platforms without waiting for a full replacement.
05 Platforms, databases & infrastructure
Bring frameworks and databases onto supported releases, improve deployments, monitoring and recovery, and move workloads between on-premises and cloud environments where it makes sense.
06 Cutover, rollback & ongoing support
Agree acceptance criteria, rehearse cutover, document fallback options and support teams after launch. Plans are tailored to the operational and data consistency needs of each system.
Find your starting point
Every legacy system has a different next move.
Choose the situation closest to yours. We'll show the kind of first step we would investigate, not a generic one-size-fits-all answer.
Possible starting point
Map the dependencies first.
When nobody feels safe changing the code, we start by understanding what relies on what. That tells us where to introduce tests, APIs and safe boundaries for replacement.
Possible starting point
Reconcile your data landscape.
When records live in disconnected databases and spreadsheets, we begin with a data inventory, define authoritative sources and identify migration rules and validation checks.
Possible starting point
Stabilise the foundation.
When servers or runtimes are out of support, we assess security, operational risk, recovery capability and compatibility to sequence upgrades without unnecessary disruption.
Works with your environment
Built around what you already run.
- Oracle Database
- SQL Server
- PostgreSQL
- MySQL
- Microsoft Access & Excel
- REST & SOAP
- ERP & core systems
- On-premises & cloud
Good questions, clear answers
Before you commit, know what to expect.
We support organisations across industries and markets. Each plan is shaped around your regulatory, technical and operational requirements.
Ask us a questionWill we need to stop using the old system?
Not necessarily. We aim to transition in stages and reduce disruption, but the exact cutover and any downtime depend on system dependencies, transaction consistency and the options available in your environment.
Can you work on software another team built?
Yes. We start with a technical assessment. Where source code, documentation or access is limited, we identify those constraints and discuss realistic options before making commitments.
How do you protect and verify migrated data?
We use repeatable migration rehearsals, record counts, reconciliation of key totals, exception tracking and agreed acceptance checks. Validation criteria are defined for your data and business rules.
Should we upgrade the old system or rebuild it?
The assessment helps answer this. Where the architecture remains sound, selective upgrades may be best. Where change is unsafe or costly, gradual replacement may offer a better path.
Let’s plan your next move
The next version of your business starts with a conversation.
Show us the system you rely on today. We’ll discuss its constraints, what should stay, what could change, and how to make that transition manageable.

Replace or modernise? What to do with old business software
Replace, wrap or modernise old software without stopping the business: four options, the risks of a full rewrite, moving data and what to ask a company.
